Thanks to our in-house multidisciplinary teams working around the clock across three distinct time zones, our turnaround time can be remarkably short.

Standardization and Streamlined Workflow

For projects in the fields of PFS, EV, Retail, and Commercial, we optimize the design process by standardizing elements, ensuring consistency, and reducing redundant tasks. This not only maintains the quality and uniformity of our designs but also contributes to cost savings. By building a comprehensive library of design elements, we offer an efficient design process, allowing more time for customization in areas of particular importance to our clients.

RIBA Stages Approach

In the case of high-end private projects, MBH closely adheres to the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) stages, a comprehensive framework that guides the design and construction process. This method ensures that each project is meticulously documented and complies with all regulatory and quality standards. The process encompasses feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed design, construction, and post-occupancy evaluation, assuring our clients that every aspect of their project is managed in a methodical and professional manner.

HISTORY

The practice was founded in 1961 through the amalgamation of two entities, McCarthy Bainbridge Partnership and David Hollis Partnership.

A significant change took place in 1998 when the practice came under the unified ownership and leadership of our current CEO, Andrew Murrin. This transition not only injected new vitality and foresight but also reaffirmed our dedication to providing outstanding architectural solutions.

In 2010, we joyfully marked a remarkable milestone - 50 years as a Practice leading the way in our field in Commercial and Residential Architecture, as well as Petrol Filling stations Then, in 2014, the practice officially transformed into a Limited Company. This shift improved our organizational structure and operational capabilities, positioning us to better serve our clients and partners while maintaining the highest professional standards.

In 2013, guided by the vision of one of our Directors, Ankit Shah, we established a satellite office in India. This move significantly enhanced MBH's capability to handle more projects efficiently, as it leveraged different time zones, effectively extending the working hours of our team.

The expansion of MBH continued again in 2021, under the visionary leadership of our Managing Director, Julian von Buddenbrock, as we furthered our reach by opening an office in South Africa. This strategic expansion has solidified our reputation for exceptional speed and efficiency, providing unmatched service and client satisfaction.

Today, we are a global team of imaginative and dedicated individuals, and our office locations span England, Scotland, India, and South Africa. All our offices, when combined, are operational for nearly 14 hours a day across three distinct time zones and embodying our values of multinationalism and diversity.
